Hello hello hello. Today is Friday, February 2nd – also known as Groundhog’s Day. There’s a whole Bill Murray movie about it, I’m not going to get into if if you don’t know about Groundhog’s Day. On the radio today I heard some people talking about how in the 1800s they would eat the Groundhog. Yuck.

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I have a single-use account that posts this image of Garth from Wayne’s World every Friday. It’s almost at 1,000 followers which is pretty cool! Sometimes it gets a lot of RTs, sometimes it gets none. It’s a mystery.
New music for Bandcamp Friday
Got an email the other day that Bandcamp Friday was happening again so I scrambled to get something ready to release. The most immediate answer was “Alone,” a track I wrote back in 2020 but never really “finished.”

So yeah! Bandcamp Friday is this special day where any revenue you give to an artist goes straight to them. My songs are all “pay what you want” but you should go support other bands and artists you like, too.
Late last year, Bandcamp was sold to Songtradr and Songtradr laid off about half of the site’s staff. I don’t want to say “the site is going to shut down” but I do genuinely think it’ll close at some point in the near future. So let’s celebrate while we can.

Cool new song I found – Bilmuri “Better Hell”
Been seeing Bilmuri all over my TikTok for a while and wasn’t really sure what to make of him. Then my buddy Chris Cullari sent me this song and I am all in. Apparently this guy was in Attack Attack? I haven’t looked it up yet so I’m sorry if I’m wrong.
His 2022 release Goblin Hours is an incredible mix of pop punk and EDM, which once again, makes a lot of sense if he was in Attack Attack (but I am not looking it up, I will eventually.)
